Offices of The Radish.

Offices of The Radish.

It is avec grand plaisir that I announce Volume 2, Issue Uno of The Radish. Against all odds, mes amis, we’re at it again tackling the hard news coverage you’ve come to depend on along with the gossip dished and the photos fresh and fab. There are the old favorites like “Who Said That?” along with new divertissements such as “Real or Fake?” We are especially delighted to share our twist on “Who Wore it Best” with “Who Wore it Wear.” (Wink!)! Play to find out.

You may notice that this issue is slimmer than our inaugural imprimatur and that is indeed correct. We at The Radish aren’t immune to today’s stormy fiscal climate and due to budgetary setbacks, we’ve had to slim down not only our pages, but also our online presence.

We depend on you to take root. So please, if you enjoy what you read, consider making a tax-deductable donation to our Kickfarter campaign or by contacting us at kippywinstonmedia@gmail.com. Your donation will go toward funding our outfits, office, and lights. In return you can choose from an array of prizes. You’ll probably also have a feel-good feeling knowing that you’re taking part in the vitality of the American theatre. Like us on Twatter and follow us on Facelivre. Be the (pocket) change you want to see in the world.

Merci and a bientot,

—Kippy Winston, Editor-in-chief

P.S. All typos and misinformation are intentional and international. [wink!] Also, a very special thanks to Radish art director Jorge Foreman, without whom the Volume 2 Print Edition PDF Download would not be possible.

letter from the editor, volume 1, issue 1 october 2013!

Mes amis—

What can I say? I am thrilled to present The Radish to you. Siamo arrivati. We have arrived. In an age of tweets and twats, twits and snips, quips and blips, it is high time for a theatrical publication that is not only investigative and vital but also as relevant as it is revelatory. If you’ve craved journalism that is as fun-filled as it is fact-packed, you’ve come to the right root vegetable. Allora, just what is The Radish? Why, it is US Weekly and The Onion’s downtown theatre love step-child of course! That’s right.

The Radish offers news, gossip, secrets + sightings as well as a myriad of photo features including “They’re Just Like Us,” “Who Wore It Best” along with essential games like “Who Said That?” and “Name That Show.” The Radish is devoted to the downtown, the local and the international…naturalmente. Your tips and scoops are appreciated and may be submitted through The Radish’s website or by emailing kippywinstonmedia@gmail.com. Look for our next issue during the winter festival season in January. In the meantime, merry reading to you!

—Kippy Winston, Editor-in-chief
